The Tapp Family Foundation was established in 2007 that we might STRIVE to build communities through the prudent support of 501c3 organizations with programs that have a direct impact on the under-served and less fortunate. The Tapp Family Foundation’s mission is to contribute to the local & global community and will demonstrate a commitment to investing value that will show a return to those in the community.
STRIVE - The Tapp Family Foundation will bring awareness and build funds for 501c3 organizations in Darryl’s hometown of Hampton Roads, VA, his playing city, college city and internationally. We will not have an open call for organizations to apply for grants we will instead formally invite organizations to apply within a strict timeframe. The organizations that will be supported by the foundation will display the need for funds and have a focus on programs that are trying to accomplish one of the following:
- Create or enhance mission awareness
- Grow their organizations contribution fund
- Increase volunteer participation of the community
- Grow in-kind donations that support the mission of the cause
